Image of hope as an anchor

My anchor holds onto the solid rock of Christ. Hope is an anchor for our souls so that they are not shaken. Hope expectantly considers that the promises of God will come to pass in his timing and with his power. The simple meaning of the verb “sevar” in Aramaic is to think. Hope and expectance is based on what we think about. God guarantees that his promises will come to pass like he signed a contract. Enter in the veil means that hope leads us “through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” (NLT version of Hebrew 6:19)
