Persist and Don’t Analyze
You can’t bring to pass most manifestations at will, whenever you want, but you can speak in tongues any time you choose to do so.
I used to think that miracles were something that I had to do. We see them, but God does them.

God is not limited by the natural! If we want to see miracles, it’s just as easy as the day we first spoke in tongues. God does the energizing.
1 Corinthians 12:10 APNT:
now for another, miracles, now for another, prophecy, now for another, discerning of spirits, now for another, kinds of tongues, now for another, the interpretation of tongues.
In Aramaic, it says “miracles,” but in Greek, it says “working of miracles.” It’s God who energizes and works the miracle.
It’s not our responsibility to figure out how something is going to happen immediately. We can’t go beyond the natural. That’s not our job. But God can. It’s the “energizing of miracles.”
1 Corinthians 12:6 APNT:
And there are distributions of powers, but God is the one who works all in everyone.
The manifestations of the Spirit are available to every believer in any situation. God is the one who will work it. We can’t analyze it; there’s no method.
1 Corinthians 12:7 APNT:
Now the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one as it is profitable for him [as it is a profiting situation].
In these sessions, we’ve explored the following:
- Look for a profiting opportunity
- Watch and be ready to obey
- Seek the will of the Father
- You have authority—go for it!
- Persist and don’t analyze
1 Corinthians 12:11 APNT:
Now all these [things] the one Spirit works and distributes to everyone as he wills.
People have taught that the manifestations work as he (the person) wills, but that’s only true of Speaking in Tongues. The other manifestations operate by both the person and God. It’s not only up to the person, and it’s not only up to God. It’s both together. As the person desires and wills, God can energize in that situation. However, which manifestations occur and how they work together is up to God.
The central thing is love.
