Stew Less, Pray More
Estimated reading time: 5 minutes
We should not put all our problems and trials in a big “stew pot” and simmer them endlessly. But we can “count it all joy” when we realize that with stewing less and praying more, there is joy in being united with God in His presence where He shows us the answers and solutions to the trials. We continue to ask, seek and knock and “seek the shepherding of the strong one.” The teaching includes a handout of the Aramaic word pictures for prayer and joy.
PRAY and BE FILLED WITH JOY
General term: PRAY — tsela

Seek the shepherding of the strong one

Unity with the strong one = a path for coming into God’s presence
God provides a door into His presence where we can experience His joy. We become one with Him and His joy becomes ours.
Psalm 21:6 ESV
For you make him most blessed forever;
You make him glad with the joy [khada] of your presence.
The joy we experience in His constant presence becomes our strength in an inconstant world.

Splendor and majesty are before him; Strength and joy [khedva] are in his place.
