What is the difference between praise and worship? Praise is basically giving thanks to God and worship is an expression of devotion of the heart. The word picture in Hebrew is “what comes from the fullness of the fence” and the fence represents our relationship with God. The action behind the word for worship is “to bow down.”
“Worship is the response of a grateful and humble people to the living God.”
Worship comes from Old English “worth-ship” and is a combination of worth-ship and work-ship (Romans 12:1)
MESSAGE: “Take your everyday, ordinary life –your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking around life–and place it before God as an offering.”
John 4:24 says that God seeks worshippers such as these who will worship him with a fervent heart and with faithfulness or integrity — with spirit and with truth.
