Walk According to the Spirit

God is holy and God is Spirit and he has given us the gift of who he is, which is also the fulness of Christ. Now we get the privilege to choose to walk according to that spirit or according to our flesh. The illustration of two hard drives, one flesh (senses) and one spirit is apropros to our culture. Which one will you choose to access? The purpose of our step by step walk and journey of life is to glorify God and for the profiting of others (I Corinthians 12:7).

HOLY SPIRIT–THE GIFT OF GOD
GOD IS HOLY
I Peter 1:16 “be ye holy, for I am holy.” (also Leviticus 11:44, 45)
GOD IS SPIRIT
John 4:24 “God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship
him in spirit and in truth.”
HE HAS GIVEN OF WHO HE IS
I John 4:13 “he has given us of his spirit” (also Romans 8:9, 10)
IT IS A GIFT
Ephesians 2:8, 9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.”
THIS GIFT IS THE FULL MEASURE OF THE GIFT OF CHRIST
Ephesians 4:7 “But unto every one of us is given grace according to
the measure of the gift of Christ.”
THIS MEASURE IS THE SAME FOR EVERY BELIEVER
Ephesians 1:21: “who fills all in all.” (NIV: “and you have been given
fullness in Christ.)
EVERY BELIEVER IS GIVEN THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT
I Corinthians 12:7 “But the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”
WE CHOOSE TO WALK ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT
Galatians 5:16 But I say, “Walk by the Spirit and never serve the
desire of the flesh.”
