Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.  For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.  II Chronicles 20:16; Hebrews 4:12

1. Why should I say I can’t, when the Bible says I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength? I find strength for everything in Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

2. Why should I lack anything, when I know that God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus?  And my God will supply all your need according to his riches in the glory of Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:19

3. Why should I fear, when the Bible says God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind? For God did not give to us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of instruction. 2 Timothy 1:7

4. Why should I lack faith to fulfill my calling, knowing that God has allotted to me a measure of faith? Now I say, by the grace that was given to me for all of you, that you should not think outside of what is right to think, but all men should think soberly, according to faith in the measure God has distributed to him. Romans 12:3

5. Why should I be weak, when the Bible says that the Lord is the strength of my life and that I will display strength and take action because I know God? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Lamsa) Psalm 27:1…but the people who know their God shall be strong. (Lamsa) Daniel 11:32

6. Why should I allow Satan’s supremacy over my life, when He that is in me is greater then he that is in the world? Now you are the sons of God and you have overcome them, because greater [is] he who is in you than he who is in the world. I John 4:4

7. Why should I lack wisdom when Christ became wisdom to me from God and God gives wisdom to me generously when I ask him for it? But you also are of him in Jesus Christ, who has become for us wisdom from God and justification and sanctification and redemption. I Corinthians 1:30

8. Why should I accept defeat, when the Bible says that God always leads me in triumph?   But thanks be to God, who always performs a triumphal show for us in Christ and manifests in us the fragrance of his knowledge in every place. II Corinthians 2:14

9. Why should I be depressed, when I can recall to mind God’s loving kindness, compassion, and faithfulness and have hope?  This I recall to mind; therefore I have hope in God. Surely the kindness of the Lord never ceases and his mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. (Lamsa) Lamentations 3:21-23

10. Why should I worry and fret when I can cast all my anxiety on Christ who cares for me?  And cast all your worry upon God, because he is concerned for you. I Peter 5:7

12. Why should I be discontented, when I, like Paul can learn to be content in all my circumstances?  Now I do not say [this] because I am in need, for I have learned that what I have will be sufficient for me. Philippians 4:11

13. Why should I feel worthless, when Christ became sin on my behalf that I might become the righteousness of God in him? For him who had not known sin, he made sin on your account that we might become the justification of God in him. II Corinthians 5:21

14. Why should I be discouraged, knowing that nobody can be against me when God is for me?  What shall we say concerning these things? If God [is] for us, who [is] against us? Romans 8:31
